After the completion of my “Demon Girl” and “Orc” portraits, I decided to challenge myself to make a piece more based in realism. I chose a picture of myself that I felt would be fun to draw. Once I started, I just kept working and adding detail until I felt it was an accurate representation of myself. I’m especially proud of this portrait as I feel it has a lot of life to it with the slightly exaggerated features. I am also proud of the fact that my original sketch was done freehand without having to trace my reference image.
